Merry started working in stained glass in 1982 and was taught by Mary Ann Lamkin of Bluebonnet Antiques in Ennis, Texas.  She began teaching stained glass out of her studio in approximately 1995.  She also was taught kilnformed glass by Michael Riffkind of Kittrell-Riffkind Art Gallery. She has her Bachelor's Degree (Bus Admin) from Florida State University and Master's from Texas A&M Commerce (Education).
